After your purchase, everything is in your dashboard. Under "My Account" in the menu you can see your access and how long it runs.
Can I try it for free before buying?
Yes. The free practice test is 20 questions for the state and license you pick, and it needs no account. With a free account your result is saved and you get one more.

How long do I need to prepare?
It depends on what you already know. The paper length and the pass rule come from your own state, and the exam page shows both. With daily practice, one to two weeks is often enough.
